The Moon

Many of you know that I come from a very musical family. At any given time SOMEONE in our house is singing, humming or trying to get an annoying song stuck in someone else's head. When I was a kid my mom bought us this awesome set of cassette tapes called We Sing Silly Songs so combined with all of the silly songs my mom made up for us as kids, my silly song arsenal is chock full and LM and I draw from it all the time.

Tonight as we were walking out of Target Little Man glanced up at the beautiful quasi full moon and the following conversation ensued:

LM: Oh wow, look at the big moon mommy!
Me: Isn't it pretty? It is almost a full moon.
LM: Sing a song.
Me: Huh?
LM: Sing a song about the moon, mommy.
Me: (racking my brain for songs about moons) ummmmmm
LM: Hurry mommy, sing a song about the moon.
Me: Ummmmm
Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon
LM: Thanks mom, that's a really good song about moons.

Hello World

Hello world.

I'm no longer an infant. I've graduated and now I'm a BABY.

I make eye contact.

I can hold up my head and I want to sit up soooo bad.

I smile. I laugh with a funny little "courtesy" chuckle.

I watch my brother constantly, love to hold his little finger and lick him when he tries to give me a kiss.

I sleep through the night (5 hours) and like to be held all-the-time.

Hello world, I'm here!
