A Day Off

Today I took a much needed day off from work to give my boys an entire day of my undivided attention. The three of us took a trip to Ft Worth to visit the Japanese Botanic Garden. Little Man l-o-v-e-d feeding the giant koi and running around the beautiful garden paths. Our trip was supposed to include the seasonal butterfly garden but since it was spring break the wait time was more than 3 hours and so we skipped it in favor of a leisurely lunch together. Tonight Trav is taking me out on a date to our favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot and I cannot wait! Here are the highlights of our day....

Running through the garden yelling, "Come on daddy!"
Not quite warmed up to the concept yet

Not a bad $7.00 spent, if you ask me!

Lovey

21 weeks
25 weeksSo I've had quite the growth spurt in the past 4 weeks... explains the TEN POUND gain! Not being allowed to exercise can really do a number on your frame of mind as you pack on the pounds and I am definitely concerned that I have another 13 weeks left. YIKES!!!

On a different note, here is a really cute video of Little Man and his "Lovey". I especially like how he thanks himself AND says "your welcome" (also excuse the mess, I was working on a huge art project).

36 Hours

This weekend Little Man, Nana and Pop and I drove up north to visit my brother and sister and watch Hayley's club compete in their spring variety competition. The "weekend" only lasted about 36 hours but we had a ton of fun. Here are the highlights...

Someone loves their Auntie!!!
I think I am done traveling until the little one arrives as I'm not quite up the rigors of travel and spent this afternoon very sore and swollen (ankles and hands) even after a nap! What can I say, I have become a wimp! Little Man, on the other hand, has not missed a beat. This is where dad found him today when they were playing hide and seek.
